Media

I was first introduced to music production on FL Studio in 2012, then to video editing on Corel VideoStudio during the same year. I have published both music and video works and would like to experiment with music video production at some point. After spending a couple of years making gaming video montages on VideoStudio I temporarily moved to Sony Vegas before ultimately settling with Premiere Pro in 2017, where I have produced video projects ranging from scientific presentations to marketing material as well as vlogs.

The Qatar Farewell Project

This was a project released as a farewell social media post. It’s essentially a compilation of memories gathered over a span of nearly a decade, backed by an in-house audio edit and additional footage. The production process was halted for 10 months prior to completion.

Multiple teasers were also made as supplementary material. The main teaser announced the release date while others hinted at some elements of the main project.

Project FTL

This is a tribute to Avicii (Tim Bergling) based on an unreleased track of his (Working title: ID 13 - Faster Than Light). It has always been a side project from the start, and has been the project where I learned most of the basics when it comes to music production by tinkering with different VSTs.

VSTi Generators: Sylenth1, reFX Nexus, TruePianos, and Sytrus.
Filters and other VST plugins: FL Parametric EQ2, Effector, FabFilter Pro and iZotope Ozone.
And a bunch of soundpacks including KSHMR and VEC.

Remaster released on 10.10.2019 to celebrate a full year since the first version's release. Dedicated to World Mental Health Day.

Sustainable Soap

This is a video I produced for a university showcase, where I had to present an engineering project proposal in video form. I spent less than 6 hours in production time, including the time it took to record and post-process my own voice-over recordings (which, in retrospect, could have been a whole lot better). The overwhelming majority of the video material consisted of stock footage. This production was completed with virtually zero budget and minimal time, yet it won first place in the university for the best video production in the showcase.

It is definitely far from being my magnum opus, but the accolade was a really nice thing to have.

Project HARPY

A university project covering a cybersecurity defense mechanism devised by myself along with two others. The video was produced on my own and is divided into 3 different sections;

1 - I present an intro and the data processing part of the project.

2 - Mohamed presents his Machine Learning process.

3 - Omar presents his mobile app.

Robot Search and Rescue Project

My first production during my university years. The video goes over a freshman-level engineering project involving robots.

Humbling to watch all the early-level mistakes here, especially when it comes to the audio tracks.
